KANSAS CITY, Mo. – Kemper arena's days may be numbered. The American Royal association and the Kemper family proposed yesterday that the 38-year-old arena named for the patriarch of the banking family be torn down.

Sprint Nextel reported its smallest quarterly loss in four years today, as it continued a turnaround and kept getting better at keeping and attracting customers.
