Missouri Declared Agricultural Disaster Area
The entire state of Missouri is now a federal agriculture disaster area. Seventeen of the state's counties, mostly in the Bootheel, had already received that declaration. The announcement from the U.S. Department of Agriculture extends that declaration to the other 97 counties and the city of St. Louis. Read more here.
Department Of Homeland Security Evaluates Security In Topeka
Officials from the Department of Homeland Security are giving the Capitol Police some suggestions for security around the Statehouse. DHS staff were in Topeka to evaluate security at state buildings in the Capitol complex. Listen to the story here.
