Kansas City takes a look at the future of arts.  A voter advocacy groups says a Missouri bill requiring voters to show a photo ID is unfair and unconstitutional.  Kansas Democrats are questioning the cost of amending the state’s Constitution.

Kansas City Looks At The Future Of Arts

More than 20 community meetings took place across Kansas City last week – morning, noon and night – to discuss the future of the city’s arts and cultural policy. It’s the first comprehensive review since 1997.  An assessment and planning report, based on the information collected will be submitted to the City Council. A first draft is expected to be ready late spring.  Read more here.

Voter Advocacy Groups Say New Photo ID Bill is Unfair

This week lawmakers in Jefferson City are taking another crack at requiring Missouri voters to show a photo ID when they go to the polls.  Opponents of the bills, however, plan to tell legislators the new standards would be unnecessary and unfair.  Learn more here.
