Kansas City, MO – As an African American, do you think you hold any misconceptions about whites? As a white person, do you ever misread or misjudge the behavior of your black colleagues, friends, or those you see on the streets? These are some of the questions journalist and author Jim Myers addresses in his new book Afraid of the Dark: What Whites and Blacks Need to Know About Each Other. Delores Jones spoke with Meyers while he was in town last week, and Michael Leahy hit the street to put questions about race relations to Kansas City citizens.
