KANSAS CITY, Mo. – The case of a missing 10-month-old took sudden unexpected turns last night as a conflicting statements were released by the family and police.

Police captain Steve Young's 7PM announcement was seemingly rebutted by a member or Lisa Irwin's family later in the evening. Young said the parents of the missing girl are no longer cooperating with police, "but our door is always open."

Lisa Irwin's aunt later told reporters, "We saw the press conference at seven o'clock and want the public to know that we have never stopped cooperating with the police."

Captain Young said he could not comment further because he can't disclose details of the investigation.

The family member, who identified herself as Ashley Irwin, said Lisa's parents will have a statement for the media today (Friday), and that they want to thank the police for all their continuing efforts to find the little girl.

Police say the parents' report of missing cell phones was another dead-end lead, and don't have enough evidence to consider anyone a suspect in the disappearance of the little girl.
