KANSAS CITY, Mo. – A high-profile New York defense attorney has become spokesman for the parents of missing 11-month-old Lisa Irwin.
Lawyer Joe Tacopina said at a news conference yesterday he will be speaking for Baby Lisa's parents to make sure they are represented fairly.
Reporters immediately quizzed the lawyer about statements Lisa's mother, Deborah Bradley made to an ABC-TV reporter that she was intoxicated on the night her daughter disappeared. Tacopina responded that it simply indicated Bradlwy's willingness to tell the truth "even if it didn't make her look great because at the end of the day she's got nothing to hide."
Tacopena insists that he is merely a spokesperson at this time, and confident that no charges will be filed against Deborah Bradley. He says there is no evidence she had anything to do with Lisa's disappearance.
