Overland Park, Ks. Police Chief John Douglass details search for student, saying he is using resources as "if it was an abduction."

It’s been three days since a 19-year-old married college student went missing in Overland Park, and police have  scoured several square miles looking for Aisha Kahn. The woman had called her sister complaining of a man harassing her.

A reward has been increased, and the FBI has extended the search.

The Johnson County Community College student hasn’t been seen since last Friday near the KU Edwards  campus where she took classes. A backpack, books and a cell phone were found. Overland Park Police Chief John Douglass updated reporters this afternoon.

“We’re looking at it as a missing persons case and we’re putting the resources into it as if it were an abduction,” he said.

Douglass detailed the search area extending over miles and said the Mounted Search and Rescue Team has covered terrain not available to motorized vehicles.

Douglass says fifty police, including ten detectives, are involved, as are four FBI  agents.

According to the Chief, an analysis is being made of cell phone calls, although her phone was found near where  she was last seen, close to 127th and Quivira Road.

Kahn and her husband live in Olathe and Douglass says the husband does not appear to have  any involvement in the disappearance. The Kahn family has offered a $10,000 reward for information.
