After 19-years of working the airwaves for KCUR, announcer Kim Noble has decided to leave the station to devote more time to civic interests. She also plans to carve out time for the occasional sunny, warm, tropical beach.
Noble started working at KCUR part-time on weekends, that position turned into a full-time announcing gig as the station’s midday host.
“Kim’s good on-air work speaks for itself," says KCUR program director, Bill Anderson. "What many people don’t realize is that Kim was the organization’s behind-the-scenes eyes on developing stories, breaking news, traffic snarls, approaching adverse weather and other information helpful to the news department and show producers."
Anderson says Noble often spent off-hours writing radio promotional copy and representing the station in the community.
"Kim cared about her colleagues, approached radio in the spirit of collaboration and served the organizational well," says Anderson. “We'll miss, Kim. As a colleague, and as a friend. On a personal note, I’ll miss the many laughs we shared over the years.”
