LAWRENCE, Kan. – The Department of Social and Rehabilitation Services has announced it will close the agency's office in Lawrence. SRS has said it's because of budget cuts, and closing the office will save the state more than $400,000 per year.
But closing the facility will also mean losing federal money. As Stephen Koranda reports, the program helps pay for administrative costs from the office.
