Saint Luke’s Promotes Hospital Executives

A Saint Luke’s Heath System executive is moving from Overland Park to the Country Club Plaza to take over as CEO of Saint Luke’s Hospital of Kansas City.

Jani Johnson, who has been CEO of Saint Luke’s South Hospital since 2012, will assume her new role on July 27 in a move tutiveshat mirrors the career path of the woman she is succeeding.

Julie Quirin left the top spot at Saint Luke’s South in 2008 to become the chief executive of Saint Luke’s on the Plaza. Quirin is now being elevated to the newly created position of senior vice president of hospital operations for the 10-hospital system.

Johnson has been with Saint Luke’s for three decades, starting as a nurse at the Saint Luke’s Mid America Heart Institute.

Saint Luke’s Hospital of Kansas City posted more than $1.9 billion in revenue in 2013, the latest year for which figures were available, according to the Kansas City Business Journal.

Quirin will oversee operations at Saint Luke’s South until a new CEO is named.
