Check Out KCUR's New Weekend Schedule

Dan Dion

As you listen to KCUR this weekend, you might notice some changes. Beginning this weekend, KCUR will begin to airing it's new schedule with updated program times and a few new shows.

With the cancelation of the live comedy show, Whad'Ya Know? and Garrison Keillor stepping down as the host of A Prairie Home Companion, we decided to review our entire weekend program schedule.

For much of the summer, we auditioned a number of new and emerging public radio programs that we thought would fit in our weekend lineup. With the help of an amazing amount of listener feedback, we've arrived at an exciting revised line up.

Starting the weekend of Aug. 6, KCUR will add NPR quiz show Ask Me Another and Freakonomics Radio to the Saturday lineup. A Prairie Home Companion will welcome new host Chris Thile on October 15 and we will continue to air the program Saturday afternoons.

On Sundays, we will add Snap Judgment and repeat listener-favorite Wait, Wait ... Don't Tell Me! at 11 a.m. We've also adjusted the Sunday afternoon schedule to move Reveal, an investigative journalism program on which KCUR collaborates, to 5 p.m.
