This week on 12th Street Jump we celebrate the birthday of Harold Arlen with our special guest Ervin Brown. The gang discovers what gives St. Louis people the Blues and the Sax Therapist helps a Pittsburgh couple prime their private passion.

Harold Arlen began his career as a singer and pianist, but made his career writing some of the most popular American songs from the 30s-50s. Arlen collaborated with lyricists Ted Koehler, Yip Harburg, and Johnny Mercer to write songs for popular music artists and films. He is probably best known for creating the music for "The Wizard of Oz" with Yip Harburg.
