'Path To Citizenship' Part Of Senators' Bipartisan Immigration Plan
Eight senators — four Democrats and four Republicans — unveiled principles they say will guide a bipartisan immigration overhaul. It would let undocumented immigrants with no criminal records get probationary legal residency if they pay fines and taxes. Full citizenship might come after other reforms.
Immigrants Key To Looming Health Aide Shortage
As more boomers age at home, they will need aides to care for them. According to the Bureau of Labor Statistics, employment for home health aides is expected to grow by 69 percent by 2020 — much faster than the average for all jobs. And many see legal immigrants as vital to filling those jobs.
