The valley of the dry bones story is an often-told sermon from the book of Ezekiel in the Old Testament dealing with redemption and resurrection of a dead and vanquished people. This week more than 75 local faith and community leaders, representing a diverse cross-section of religious, racial, and socioeconomic backgrounds, have literally taken a page out of that book. Joining us for the first half of the show are Rev. Dr. DeForest Soaries, acclaimed author, advocate, and former New Jersey Secretary of State, Rev. Jennifer Thomas of the Immanuel Lutheran Church and Rev. Wallace Hartsfield II from the Metropolitan Missionary Baptist Church. They join us to talk about a different type of a resurrection: one involving economic dignity.
