Seg. 1: Recycling In Kansas City. Seg. 2: Power The Tower.

Segment 1: Is recycling still working?

After the recent closure of one of Kansas City's busiest free drop-off recycling centers, we take a look at state of the recycling system here in the Metro.

Segment 2, beginning at 37:42: Iconic television tower might become a piece of art.

A local group wants to transform the Kansas City skyline by turning the KCTV tower on 31st and Grand Ave into a public art installation. On this episode, we find out why they're glowing with enthusiasm to 'power the tower.'

People don't make cameos in news stories; the human story is the story, with characters affected by news events, not defined by them. As a columnist and podcaster, I want to acknowledge what it feels like to live through this time in Kansas City, one vantage point at a time. Together, these weekly vignettes form a collage of daily life in Kansas City as it changes in some ways, and stubbornly resists change in others.
