Former South Dakota Senator and Presidential candidate George McGovern died in Souix Falls, S.D. on Sunday. He was 90.
McGovern is perhaps best known for his staunch liberalism and his 1972 challenge to Richard M. Nixon.
In the final portion of Monday's Up to Date, Steve Kraske revisits a short portion of his 2004 interview with McGovern about his book, The Essential America: Our Founders and the Liberal Tradition, and talks with former Up to Date regular guest, Dr. Elizabeth Campbell, about her relationship with the late senator.
