To The Stars From KC

Scott Wylie/Flickr-CC

There are plenty of spots to stargaze in Kansas City, and you never know what celestial bodies you might find-- even the Andromeda galaxy.

In the second part of Monday's Up to Date, Joseph Wright, operations manager for the Warkoczewski Public Observatory at University of Missouri-Kansas City, joins us to talk about what you can see from your backyard.

Learn more about where you find "dark skies" to better see the stars and find out more about the International Dark Sky Association.

Joseph Wright is vice president and past president of the Astronomical Society of Kansas City. He’s on staff at the Powell Observatory in Louisberg.
