  • Dennis Goldford is a political scientist at Drake University in Des Moines and an expert on caucuses.
  • Nic Zweifel is co-chair of  Generation Listen KC, who along with other members was in the audience of Morning Edition's live broadcast in Iowa.
  • Elaine Januszka is a student at Washburn University.
  • E.J. Dionne is an author and journalist for the Washington Post. His latest book is Why the Right Went Wrong: Conservatism — from Goldwater to the Tea Party and Beyond.

When I host Up To Date each morning at 9 a.m., my aim is to engage the community in conversations about the Kansas City area’s challenges, hopes and opportunities. I try to ask the questions that listeners want answered about the day’s most pressing issues and provide a place for residents to engage directly with newsmakers. My email is steve@kcur.org.
