Kansas State University officials say Jerome Tang’s dismissal was “for cause,” meaning the university will not pay an $18 million buyout to end the contract. Tang has said he plans to fight the firing.

Manhattan, Kansas, is just a two-hour drive from Kansas City. With lots of great restaurants, event spaces and proximity to the gorgeous Flint Hills, it’s more than just a place to catch a Wildcats football game (although you can do that too!).

The speedy senior from Lawrence High School, who was born in West Africa, is an unlikely Wildcat. He's playing the best football of his young career.

K-State and KU women are going to the NCAA tournament, and Mizzou almost made it. Future tournaments look even more hopeful thanks to "a lot of talent" at high schools across the Midwest.
