The Wednesday trip home for thousands of Kansas City area drivers is nothing akin to the morning of ice, slush and related hazards. One young man was killed in an early morning crash in the Northland. There is fog and some snow in the forecast the next 36 hours but nothing severe.
The car carrying Benedictine College student R.J. Demps flipped over after skidding on ice along Missouri Highway 45 north of Weston. He was killed. A passenger survived with minor injuries.
