Kansas City, MO – Brookside Day school (at left) is one of the few charter schools that has sponsorship guaranteed for more than the next two years. UMKC and CMSU, which provide the required sponsorship for all of Kansas City's charter schools except Westport, are granting only temporary charter renewals pending a review of the program's success and costs.
