Missouri Gubernatorial Candidate Profile: Republican Matt Blunt

By Maria Carter

Harrisonville, MO – Republican Secretary of State Matt Blunt is running a hotly contested campaign for Missouri governor. He's up against Democratic State Auditor Claire McCaskill. McCaskill has served for the past two decades in state and local government. By comparison, Blunt's time in public office has been short only six years. But Blunt's candidacy has been helped by having a family name long associated with Missouri politics. As KCUR's Maria Carter reports, Blunt is trying to show he is more than just his last name.
