African American Cancer Disparities

By Maria Carter

Kansas City, MO – Overall, cancer deaths are down slightly for the first time in more than 70 years, but African Americans are still more likely to develop and die from cancer. As part of an ongoing health series, KCUR's Maria Carter reports on the problem of breast cancer in African Americans. Funding for this story was provided in part by a grant from the Health Care Foundation of Greater Kansas City.

KCUR is here for Kansas City, because Kansas City is here for KCUR.
