Kansas City, MO – The candidates in perhaps the most fiercely contested US Senate race in this turbulent year squared off last night (Wednesday) in Kansas City. KCUR's Frank Morris reports that Republican incumbent Jim Talent took every opportunity to raise questions about Democratic challenger Claire McCaskill's husband's business holdings, while the Democrat accused the incumbent of dragging down the tone of the campaign, and renewed calls change in Washington.
