Kansas City, MO – Kansas City's next mayor will set the overall agenda for the metropolitan area. But on the city council, he will represent just one vote. Come May, the majority of the 12 other council members, at least 8 and as many as 10, will be serving for the first time. Newcomers to city office will fill five of the six at-large seats, and the whole city votes on those positions. KCUR's Sylvia Maria Gross has this rundown of the contested at-large races.
