Kansas City, MO – Painter Adolfo Martinez grew up in Kansas City near the Plaza, and he never really had to take the bus. But his car broke down a few years ago, and Martinez began to make a daily commute on two buses to his job North of the river. He started to make mental notes of the scenes and characters he saw . . . and even the conversations he heard. When Martinez got home in the evening, he'd sketch them out. He eventually compiled the drawings in a show.
