Missouri House and Senate Members Commemorate Virginia Tech Victims

By Marshall Griffin

Kansas City, MO – Missouri House and Senate members paused this afternoon (Monday) to remember the victims of today's massacre at Virginia Tech. Senate President Pro-Tem Michael Gibbons interrupted regular business to tell fellow senators about the tragedy, and fellow Republican Delbert Scott of Lowry City delivered a prayer:

And we think of this tragedy that we've just heard of, and we pray that You will minister to those that are hurting, the families of those that are deceased, Lord, we pray that You will be there in this time of tragedy.

Over in the State House, a moment of silence was held at the beginning of today's (Monday) session.
