Greensburg Relief Effort Information

Donations can be specifically designated for the Greensburg relief effort, but that must be done at the time the donation is made. Call 1-800-REDCROSS or 1-800-257-7575 (Spanish). Contributions to the Disaster Relief Fund may be sent to the Midway-Kansas Chapter at PO Box 3726, Wichita, KS 67201 or to the American Red Cross, P. O. Box 37243, Washington, DC 20013. You can also make a secure donation on-line here.

The United Way
United Way of the Plains has set up a disaster fund for tornado victims in the Greensburg area. The fund will distribute contributions to agencies that will provide services to tornado victims. Checks should be made payable to United Way Greensburg Disaster Fund. Mail to United Way of the Plains, 245 N. Water St., Wichita, KS 67202.

United Way of Greater Topeka will be available to distribute information about relief efforts. Do not send checks for the relief fund to the Topeka office. They can be reached at 785-273-4804. Kansas residents can find out more about relief agencies administered by the United Way, and instructions about how to donate, by calling 2-1-1 from any telephone.
