National Cyclocrossing Championships in KCK

For more photos, check here. When ice and snow hit the area last week, most people stayed inside and tried to keep warm. Meanwhile, several hundred bicyclists from across the country flocked to the region for the National Cyclocrossing Championships and couldn't have been happier with the cold weather.

Now in its 25th year, the National Cyclocrossing Championships is a mix of road and mountain racing - and marks the most important competition of the cyclocross season. Elana Gordon braved the severe weather and brought back this report.
