  • The United Auto Workers has sent GM a letter saying they will strike at the Fairfax plant Tuesday unless progress is made toward a new contract.
  • Kansas City mayor Mark Funkhouser says a plan to make the area from 9th to 29th, Troost to Prospect sales-tax free for the next 23 years is a creative and nearly risk-free.
  • Employment was up in just slightly in Kansas in March, but Missouri lost more than 10,000 jobs and unemployment climbed to its highest mark in three years.

  • Congress just eliminated federal funding for KCUR, but public radio is for the people.
