Kansas City, MO – Conservative politician Alan Keyeshas run for office in quite a few states - his home state of Maryland, in Texas he ran for governor against George W. Bush, and most recently, in Illinois he ran for governor against Barack Obama. This year, he's been running for president as a Republican - but a week and a half ago he left the party. And this week, the former Assistant Secretary of State was in Kansas City, trying to become the presidential nominee for the Constitution Party. Former Constitution Party Vice Presidential candidate Chuck Baldwin was ultimately chosen.
KCUR's Sylvia Maria Gross was able to catch up with Keyes at the Marriot downtown, where he was meeting with long-time members of the party.
