Kansas City, MO –

  • A Johnson County Judge has ruled that District Attorney Phill Kline is not entitled to state abortion records he sought in his criminal case against Planned Parenthood. Kline says he already has the documents, but he wants state health officials to say, on the record, that the documents he has are authentic.
  • Missouri Secretary of State Robin Carnahan says a Supreme Court decision validating Indiana's voter photo ID law does not reinstate a Missouri law struck down by a state court. Carnahan says the Indiana law was different, and the case was based on different evidence.
  • Democratic candidate for Missouri Governor Attorney General Jay Nixon says he wants to expand Missouri's A plus scholarship program to make more students eligible.

  • Congress just eliminated federal funding for KCUR, but public radio is for the people.
