Kansas City, MO – The President arrived at an airport near Olathe Kansas Thursday, where he presented UMKC Dental Student Ashley Knight with a Volunteer Service Award. Knight says she's active in a student group that provides volunteer dental services in Kansas City. She also says she's organizing a summer program at the dental school to provide free screenings to children.

Knight: So often kids are scared of the dentist because the first time they visit the dentist, they have a problem. And so if we can, through screenings, prevent pain in the future and they get used to what it's like to visit the dentist and see that we're not scary, that's what I enjoy doing, that's why I do it.

After the President met with Knight, he then traveled to Bucyrus Kansas for a private fundraiser for Nick Jordan.
