  • After more than 24 hours tension, Independence still isn't allowed to take over 7 Kansas City school buildings. The two districts are trying to arrange a Saturday meeting on the matter.
  • UMKC Chancellor Guy Bailey is headed back for Texas. The chancellor announced today that he is the sole finalist for the job of President at Texas Tech in Lubbock.
  • Opponents of giving Kansas children of illegal immigrants in-state tuition say they are not discouraged by the Supreme Court's refusal to hear their case.

  • Congress just eliminated federal funding for KCUR, but public radio is for the people.
