  • A Kansas City council committee has endorsed two separate amendments to a smoking ban voters passed in April.

  • A council committee also passed a resolution to address the rising number of homides in Kansas City.

  • A U.S. attorney has sentenced a Lawrence man to nearly 20 years in federal prison for drug trafficking.

    • Defunded, but not defeated.
    Congress just eliminated federal funding for KCUR, but public radio is for the people.
