Kansas Tax Cut Negotiations Continue

Kansas lawmakers are still trying to negotiate a compromise on cutting taxes. The Legislature has already approved a large tax-cutting plan and sent it to Gov. Sam Brownback.  Find out more here.

Limbaugh Rushed Into Hall Of Famous Missourians

Conservative radio talk show host Rush Limbaugh was inducted into the Hall of Famous Missourians in a ceremony that was kept under wraps until less than an hour before it happened.  Word of the ceremony leaked out after various media members spotted Limbaugh inside the Missouri Capitol.  Learn more here.

Report Criticizes Flood Management On The Missouri River

A new report calls flood management on the Missouri River “outdated” and says it’s putting the public at risk.  The report by the environmental advocacy group American Rivers identifies the Missouri River as one of the ten most endangered in the country.  Find out more here.

More Than Ramps And Bowls: Penn Valley Skate Park Gets “Flow”

When Kansas City Parks and Recreation built Penn Valley's Skate Park in 2006, the $380,000 cost didn't cover everything on the plans.  To many local skateboarders, the park was unfinished, and lacked what they call "flow."  The city got back to it this year with $300,000 more in upgrades, and the park officially re-opens this afternoon.  Read more here.
