NEAL CONAN, HOST:
And finally, earlier this afternoon, we learned of the death of Donna Summer. She was 63 years old and suffered from cancer. Summer sang some of the most memorable anthems of the disco era, from"Love to Love You Baby," to "Bad Girls." She had a top 40 hit every year from 1976 to 1984, including this song, which she once told NPR she'd perform till the very end. You can hear more about Summer's life later today on NPR. But for now, let's just listen to the queen of disco, Donna Summer.
