Missouri House Speaker Tim Jones says it’s unlikely that they will attempt to override a veto of a tax bill.  On the day of the Major League Soccer all-star game, Sporting Kansas City is prepared for more growth in local soccer.  Three children were hurt after a vehicle crashed into a daycare building.

Missouri Speaker Says Tax Veto Override Unlikely

The income tax bill that would eventually reduce income tax rates by about a half of a percent is likely to not be brought up in veto session next month, according to Missouri House Speaker Tim Jones a Republican from Eureka.  Jones said he currently doesn't have the votes necessary for an override of the governor's veto.

Major League Soccer’s all-star game will offer the best of its league against Italy’s AS Roma at Sporting Park Wednesday in Kansas City, Kan. Though it’s tough to get a ticket for the match, it follows the pattern lately for Sporting Kansas City’s home games with a string of 27 straight sellouts.

Children Hurt In Bizarre Daycare Tandem Wreck

Three children were  injured after an SUV rammed a parked car, driving it into an east side Kansas City daycare building. Some victims were trapped, needing rescue at the scene near 27th and Monroe.
