Dance Icon Todd Bolender Dies at 92

An icon in the dance world, the Kansas City Ballet's Artistic Director Emeritus Todd Bolender died on October 12, 2006 at the age of 92. By Laura Spencer

Kansas City, MO – As a dancer, Todd Bolender originated roles by choreographers George Balanchine and Jerome Robbins...and Bolender's choreography is in the repertoire of companies like the New York City Ballet, the Joffrey Ballet, and the Alvin Ailey American Dance Theatre. KCUR's Laura Spencer attended the opening last night (October 12, 2006) of the Kansas City Ballet's fall program and has this report.
