Young People Predict Future Of Civil Rights Movements

Kansas City, Mo. – Events throughout the area commemorated Dr. Martin Luther King, Jr. this week. On Friday, January 15, 2010, KCUR's Sylvia Maria Gross stopped by a youth leadership meeting at the Kauffman Foundation, sponsored by the Southern Christian Leadership Conference of Greater Kansas City. High school students there talked about the issue of equality in their schools and communities, and what they think will be the civil rights issue of their generation.
