Board Of Police Commissioners Name New Chief Of Police

Kansas City, Mo. – The Board of Police Commissioners announced this morning that Deputy Chief Darryl L. Forte, 49, lifelong Kansas City resident and 26-year department veteran, will be the next KC Chief of Police. Forte, who oversees the financial and capital improvement units in the department, is the city's first black police chief.
