Update Tuesday, 7:30 a.m. Due to the weather, polling places have been consolidated in both Wyandotte and Johnson Counties. Find polling places for Wyandotte County here and Johnson County here.
Steve Kraske reports for Midwest Democracy that, despite the fact that a foot of snow may fall on the metro area by Tuesday, the KCK mayoral primary elections are still on. Because of the weather, only a five to eight percent voter turnout is anticipated, instead of 18 to 20 percent for a typical primary.
Both KCK and Johnson County, in anticipation of Tuesday's inclement weather, have extended advanced voting in person deadlines to Monday at 7 p.m.
In addition, the Johnson County Election Office will be an alternate polling place Tuesday for any Johnson County voter. More information on the Johnson County primary elections can be found here.
