Kansas Immigrant In-State Tuition Appeal

Kansas City, MO – On Wednesday, a federal appeals court in Denver heard arguments on whether a group of students can sue the state of Kansas for offering in-state tuition discounts to some illegal immigrants. A district court judge in Topeka dismissed the case last year because he said the students weren't harmed by the law. A final decision in this case could affect in-state tuition laws around the country. And in Kansas, hundreds of young people are waiting to see the future of their own college careers.
