About one-fourth of all Latino adults in the United States have no regular health care provider. Latinos born outside the U.S. are even more likely to be in this situation. That's according to a new study by the Pew Hispanic Center and the Robert Wood Johnson Foundation. KCUR's health reporter, Elana Gordon, recently spoke with Debra Perez, a senior program officer at the Robert Wood Johnson Foundation, about the findings. Perez says the study, which surveyed 4000 Latinos, is the most comprehensive look at Hispanic health care in the United States to date. And, she says it also brings light to some of the differences within a growing Latino community.
