C.J. Janovy
Former Director of Content - Journalism (Retired)Everyone needs trustworthy news about what’s happening in their neighborhood, their city, their world. As KCUR’s Director of Content-Journalism, I’m responsible for reporters, producers, editors, newscasters and hosts working throughout the region. We want people to know they can rely on us to keep them safe, connected, informed and entertained.
I have three decades of journalism and leadership experience in Kansas City, including as an arts reporter then digital managing editor for KCUR from 2014-2020, and director of content-journalism from 2021-2025. I retired in 2025.
