Missouri Governor Calls Lawmakers Back For Special Session

Missouri legislators finally convened at the statehouse on June 23 to begin the 2021 special session.

After a standoff with fellow Republicans, Governor Parson finally called for the special session to resolve issues over extending the federal reimbursement allowances.

The FRA is largely responsible for funding the state's Medicaid program known as MO HealthNet. State Sen. Bob Onder explains the exclusions he and other conservative Republicans want included in the extension and we examine how those could impact healthcare in the state.
