President Donald Trump will headline a July 24 fundraiser for Missouri Republican U.S. Senate candidate Josh Hawley, Cass County Republican Party chairman Bill Kartsonis told KCUR in an email.
The event is listed on the Cass County GOP website, and shows that the luncheon starts at $1,000-a-plate minimum. It costs $10,000 per couple to get a photo with Trump.
But Hawley’s campaign and the White House have not gone public about Trump’s appearance yet, and the exact location and time are unclear. Hawley’s spokeswoman told KCUR to seek confirmation from the White House; White House press staff said Tuesday night in an email that there was “nothing to confirm at this time."
Hawley, who has been Missouri’s attorney general since January 2017, has a few primary challengers in the Aug. 7 election, including Austin Petersen and Tony Monetti. Trump endorsed Hawley in a tweet last month.
Senator Claire McCaskill of the GREAT State of Missouri flew around in a luxurious private jet during her RV tour of the state. RV’s are not for her. People are really upset, so phony! Josh Hawley should win big, and has my full endorsement.

Trump also attended a March 14 fundraiser for Hawley, according to St. Louis Public Radio.
Hawley has raised more than $3 million dollars which lags behind the more than $17 million that incumbent Democratic Sen. Claire McCaskill has, according to Federal Election Commission filings through March 31.
