Seg. 1: Missouri Medicaid Rolls Shrinking | Seg. 2: Military Sexual Assault

Segment 1: A new state system to determine Medicaid eligibility is under fire.

In Missouri this year, Medicaid enrollment numbers have dropped at more than twice the national rate, topping 7%. This means 120,000 people, including tens of thousands of children, have been dropped from the program. We heard answers as to why this is happening and how the state can and should respond.

Segment 2, beginning at 25:34: Survivors and activists discuss sexual assault in the military.

Sexual assault in the military is on the rise, with more than 6% of active duty women saying they've experienced sexual assault in the past year. We heard from sexual assault survivors and activists from the Military Sexual Trauma Movement about their stories and possible solutions.

  • Deidra Hubay, Marine veteran and executive director of operations and communications, Military Sexual Trauma Movement
  • Heather Sexton, Army National Guard veteran
  • Kelsey Harbor, Marine veteran and senior director of civic engagement, Military Sexual Trauma Movement
