Higher education is on the chopping block once again in Jefferson City.
Last night during his State of the State address, Missouri Governor Jay Nixon proposed another tough budget. This one would cut spending on state universities by $90 million -- or nearly 13 percent. That, of course, comes on top of other cuts to higher education in recent years. Medicaid is also being cut...but Gov. Nixon also proposed new ways to create jobs.
