Segment 1: River of Refuge is a nonprofit organization that helps transition homeless families into permanent housing.
River of Refuge had a history of helping families living in motels before it offically opened at Park Lane Hospital that had been vacant for a decade. We asked the founder of Rivers of Refuge about safety concerns and how it will affect plans to build more units for the homeless in February.
